When the “stupid white man” (Moore), squares off against a former Special Forces soldier (Yon), who has devoted his life since 2004 to reporting the facts as they really are on the ground on Iraq, you don’t have to think too long or hard about who to root for. Actually, you kinda feel bad for Moore.
Almost.
And then you discover that Michael Moore, famed for his anti-American, left-wing, lunatic-fringe-bent, has violated copyright laws and stolen (yes, stolen) a photograph taken by Michael Yon in Iraq and placed it on his website. The same website that maligns the troops and their commander-in-chief…and the left wonders why the troops don’t feel “supported”.
It turns out the “stupid white man” is also a criminal. Perhaps I should let Michael Yon speak for himself:
“We need to know the truth about the wars we are currently fighting. That’s why I went to Iraq in the first place. Sometimes the difference between War Porn and the truth can be subtle, ambiguous, even subjective. But I know it when I see it. And if Michael Moore learned to respect not just my work, but other aspects of the truth, not to mention respecting his audience’s intelligence, he would better serve his own cause.
Here’s a screenshot of Moore’s website. The picture on the far right depicts MAJ Mark Bieger holding a girl named Farah and was taken by Yon on May 2, 2005. Farah was killed as a result of a car bomb.
