Clinton Credits Earmarks for Victory
March 25, 2008 — JLGIn addition to slamming rival Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill) over Jeremiah Wright, his pastor and mentor of twenty years, Sen. Clinton (D-NY) gave us some additional insights into her brand of politics in an interview with the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review:
“I am proud of my earmarks. Part of the reason that I won New York by 67 percent are my earmarks.”
Did you catch that? We already knew she did this with endorsements, but Clinton just stated, on the record, that she has used pork as a means to buy votes! Of course, that’s what ALL legislators use it for, which is why I always say that it is the root of all corruption in Washington!
The practice needs to be halted immediately!
