I still don’t know why Los Angeles authorities thought they needed two helicopters to escort Britney Spears to the hospital in an ambulance, but now we know that they wasted $25,000 on that little spectacle.

A police spokesman said that the escort was necessary because of “previous, overly aggressive actions of some members of the media, and in particular members of the paparazzi.”

Charge the cost to the aggressive cameramen and the companies that they work for then… Not the taxpayers!
