I wrote earlier this week that the Senate is trying to use the ‘Economic Stimulus’ plan to give tax “rebates” to people who don’t pay any taxes.  Apparently the Senate is also trying to change the bill so that “rebates” go to illegal immigrants, even ones who may don’t even have a social security number.  The House version of the bill currently would not allow such a provision.

It still shouldn’t surprise anyone that all this is happening in an election year.
