I posted Tuesday about Mexico’s border towns preparing for a large influx of illegal immigrants returning to the country after Arizona’s tough new immigration laws take effect.  Well now a delegation of Mexican lawmakers is traveling to Tucson to protest, saying that the return of their own citizens “will have a devastating affect on the Mexican state.”

They should have thought about that before designing a policy of dealing with their poor by simply teaching them how to sneak across the Rio Grande.

The real irony here is that their government is trying much harder to keep Mexicans from crossing the border than ours is.
